While Tea & Bun boasts a consistent reputation, some diners report challenges finding a table during peak times, especially on Saturdays at lunchtime when it reaches full capacity. This can make for a hectic dining experience, leading to longer wait times.
A few guests express that the ambiance can get quite loud, especially during busy hours, which may detract from intimate conversations. Some also note that the popularity of certain dishes can lead to them selling out, particularly the highly sought-after gyoza.
Though generally well-received, a handful of patrons feel that the limited parking options near peak hours can be a hassle, suggesting earlier visits for those driving. The lively rush can sometimes overshadow the calm enjoyment intended from the cuisine.
I am absolutely in love with the food here, honestly the best ramen I've had in years. The Vietnamese coffee was absolutely amazing, much better than when I make coffee. Staff were working very hard and our food and drinks came out quick. Everything was clean and tidy. It is a bit of a fight for a table, we had to run to an empty one as it was so busy but it was so worth it. I will be coming back as often as I can.
Having regularly adventured to the food spots in the market, tea & bun have been by far my favourite! Fresh tasting food with wonderful flavours, all at good prices with great service to match. I particularly recommend the karage as it’ll beat any sort of fried chicken you’ve ever had.
So delicious!!! They make veggie things vegan if you ask and I loved all of the food I got :). Great service and I would definitely go back 💯 the gyozas where fried and lively and hot 🔥 The ramen had so much flavour and I love the chilli oil on the tables
I’ve been coming to this place every now and again since it opened many years ago and it hits the spot every time. I always go for the beef bibimbap which is warming to the soul as well as being really fresh and flavourful The food also always comes out very quickly. Really recommended to anyone looking for a nice, hearty and healthy meal in a pinch.
Hidden Gems of Plymouth ❤️ Ordered two ramens and had the best experience, ladies prepared everything very quick and food comforted stomach 🤤Price was very reasonable 🐥 Highly recommend! ❤️
The food is fresh, cook in front of you, very tasty and the attention is excellent, friendly and quick. I only wish they were open later. My favourite is the chicken katsu curry, but the noddles are also amazing
